House, formerly house and cottage. Mid C.18. Brick: roof of pantiles.2
storeys : 5-bay house and l-bay cottage at left. Sash windows have
projecting stone cills and flat brick heads. Central 6-panelled door under
rectangular fanlight in flat Tuscan doorcase with bracketed, corniced
canopy over. Roof: swept eaves, 2 end brick chimneys and one between
house and cottage. Interior: 3-panelled doors with architraves, some
cornices; main room ground floor has Gothic revival stone chimney piece
flanked by round-headed cupboard openings with architraves, false key-
stones and impost blocks. Staircase: narrow open well, 2 turned balusters
per tread, wide serpentine-section handrail with curtail.
