24.5.82 Boldon Mill

GV II

Tower Mill. Dated 1834. Sandstone rubble with roughly dressed cills and lintels.
3 storeys; entrances north and south, small square windows at each floor on all 4
sides except at first on the west. A row of stone corbels x.l metre above present
ground level, and c.2 metres above those, a row of holes, some containing beam ends.
Cap and sails removed. Interior has at least one floor and some machinery. Derelict
at time of survey.
