7/90 Haselor Grounds Farmhouse

GV II


Farmhouse. Mid C18. Red brick with brick string course and dentil cornice. Tile
roof; brick end and ridge stacks. L-plan with wing to rear. 2 storeys and attic;
4-window range. Main front to garden has central entrance with C20 French
windows and hood on shaped brackets. C20 wood mullioned and transomed window and
other windows. 2 ground floor windows with brick cambered arches. Central window
on first floor has altered opening with painted wood iintel, and C20 fixed light
window with glazing bars. C19/C20 window on lower level at left end has painted
wood lintel and glazing bars. Two gabled roof dormer with C20 windows. Right
return side has external stack. Left return side has twin gables with brick
corbelling. Panelled door in moulded wood surround. Original 2-light leaded
casement with brick segmental arch on first floor. To road: wing projecting on
right. String courses. C19 and C20 casements under brick segmental arches.
Interior not inspected. Forms part of an extensive group with attached shelter
shed and barn (q.v.) and attached cowhouse (q.v.).
