Farmhouse. Early C18 with later alterations. Coursed squared ironstone and
limestone rubble. Ironstone quoins. Steeply pitched asbestos tile roof. Brick
ridge and end stacks on stone bases. 2 storeys. 5-window range including 2
blocked openings. 3-unit plan. Central entrance has plank door with moulded
wood door-frame and overlight with glazing bars. C20 lean-to porch. Two 3-
light wood-mullioned windows with glazing bars to right. A blocked window opening
and a 3-light wood-mullioned window with opening light to left. First floor
has 3 similar windows and 2 blocked openings. All windows and blocked openings
have wood lintels, some with stop-chamfers. Left end has exterior stone steps
to granary attached to rear. Interior: stop-chamfered beam, inglenook with
stop-chamfered bressumer and ham curing chamber. Staircase of straight flight
and quarter turn.
