II
Mill house and mill. C17 origins, and dated 1711. Squared coursed limestone with
rough plinth, quoins and coped gables an kneelers. C20-tile roof with brick end
stacks. L-shaped plan. two-storey, two-window range of C19 and C20 two- and
three-light casements with stone flat arches. Blocked doorway with stone flat
arch in internal angle. Further C19 casements to rear, with one C17 three-light
mullioned window to first floor. Moulded-cartouche datestone to first floor
front is inscribed in bas-relief: 'M/RE/17ll' (Richard and Elizabeth Mathews).
C18 two-storey stone mill with slate roof to left has C20 casements and door.
Interior: house has chamfered ogee-stopped spine beam and large open fireplace
with C18 spice-cupboard doors.
