Pigeon house. Late C18. Flemish bond brick, tiled pyramidal
mansard roof. Square plan. Open ground floor has one elliptical
arch to each side with stone imposts and keystones, springing from
square corner piers of English bond brick with round-arched
niches. First floor has wooden door on south side with ogee-headed
arch over, other three sides have blind ogee-headed arches.
Stepped brick cornice. Mansard roof has square pigeon loft with
hipped Welsh slate roof. Ground floor has brick cross groin vault.
On first floor, interior walls are lined with brick pigeon holes.
Formerly the property of Jervoise family and probably contemporary
with the building of north front to Moat House in 1766 (q.v.).
Forms a picturesque landscsape feature as viewed from south side of
Moat House.
