Early-mid C18. Faces South Street. 2 storeys and attic, painted brick,
stone plinth, stone moulded string under 1st floor cill, chamfered stone
quoins, moulded dentil wood cornice; old tile roof, hipped to north-east with
2 plain 2-light dormers and gable end chimney to south-west.
South Street front: 3 bay front, cross glazed sash windows, segmental headed
with key blocks. 6-panel central door, false beaded wreathed fanlight
with shield motif, panelled reveals with segmental heads, narrow architrave
overhead and fan ornament in spandrels. Doorcase of reeded pilasters, double
scroll cut brackets and reeded cornice, hood with panelled soffit. Contemporary
brass scroll knockers and wrought-iron footscraper.
West Street front: one upper window, glazing bar sash in flush moulded
frame and early C19 shop front on ground floor consisting of window 6 panes
wide by 4 high, half glazed door to left with plain rectangular fanlight
over, all framed with pilasters supporting frieze and thin flat cornice
on pairs of cut brackets, cap of pilaster originally dividing the window
remains.
