Includes No 1 Winchester Street. Corner site. Mid C18. ] storeys painted
brick. Steep pitch hipped old tile roof, moulded wood eaves cornice, 4 flush
framed windows on 2nd floor (3 false). On 1st floor canted Cl9 bay window
sash lights, to left hand and 2 other windows as on 2nd floor but no glazing
bars. Altered modernised C19 shop front the pilasters and cornice renewed
and recased returned to Winchester Street qv. Lower contemporary extension
on Endless Street front. 2 storeys painted brick with brick dentil eaves
cornice. Gable end old tile roof. 1 window centre 1st floor sash 4 panes wide
flanked by camber headed blind windows. Ground floor formerly had 2 windows
and good doorcase with hood now replaced by modern shop windows and garage
door. Original rainwater head on this front. Upper floors to Winchester Street
also of painted brick with large flanking Doric pilasters, 4 recessed sashes
to 1st and 2nd floor, glazing bars intact 2nd floor, block sills and keystones.

No 2 forms a group with Nos 1 to 5B (odd) Winchester Street.
