1721. Two and a half storeys, red brick with chamfered stone quoins, stone
plinth and tripled stone keys. Stone bands over ground and first floors,
stone cope to parapet and to ramped gables. Wood modillion cornices. Four
bays, glazing bar sashes in moulded frames. Four gabled dormers in stone
slate roof with gable end brick chimneys having stone base bands. High parapet
with lattice of stone before dormers. Door case in 2nd bay from left. Enriched
(wood on stone base): Doric fluted pilasters, Doric frieze. Pediment. Eight-panel
front door. Wrought and cast iron bracket to front. Stone balustrade in
front curving in to doorway with lattice panels.
Two storey wings to rear. North wing with mansard, west gable end with moulded
hoods to windows. South wing brick. Mid C19 coach house of brick and rubble
with cobbled entrance.
Interior: good wooden staircase with sweeping rail and 2 turned balusters
per tread. Panelling in hall and in front room to north panelled, contemporary
fire-place and flanking arched niches.
