C17, former Red Lion Inn with C18 brick front. Very much altered and restored.
Two and a half storeys. Plinth. Painted brick. Stone tile roof with 2 gabled
dormers and gable end brick chimneys. Moulded wooden eaves cornice projecting
over modillions on moulded strip. Two 6 light modern casements on first floor.
Band with moulded base over ground floor. Formerly 4 windows on ground floor
with rubbed brick flat arches, now one to left of 6 lights and 2 to right.
Central door with modern triangular hood. Iron hoops below ground floor windows
a reminder that sheep pens were erected beside these houses on market days.
