Farmhouse. Early C17 with mid C17 addition refenestrated in the
C19 and late C19 and C20 extensions. Coursed rubble wih some
roughcast, ashlar dressings to windows and stacks, some original
wooden lintels, squared and dressed stone to porch and gabled stone
slate roofs. L-shaped plan with early range to the rear and mid
C17 block set parallel to road. Mid C17 block has north-west front
of 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Windows are 2 and 3-light hollow-
moulded C19 mullions with hoodmoulds, those to attic set in 2
gables with ball finials to apexes. Central c1835 gabled porch
with basket-handle arch, round-headed openings and ball finial to
apex. C20 part glazed plank door. Tall end stacks in pairs with
moulded caps set on the diagonal. Rear original 2 storey farmhouse
range with C19 doors and fenestration, now containing services.
C20 kitchen extension to the rear in the angle between the two
blocks.
Interior. Circular newel staircase: closed to ground floor, open
above; some stop-chamfered beams to ground floor rooms and mid C17
through-purlin roof structure.
