Tithe Barn at Manor House
(formerly listed as Manor House together with Tithe Barn and Pigeon House)

Barn and farm buildings, now outbuildings and 2 dwellings. C15-
C16, and C19. Limestone rubble, walls to inner court half timbered
with patterned brick noggings. Stone slate roof. West wing of 13-
bays, inner wall stone to three-quarters height, with timber
framing above. Cart entrances in 4th and 10th-bays, the latter
with hipped roof projecting on brackets forming open shelter. The
south wing against road to church comprises 6 timber framed and 4
stone bays, the latter with 2 gables to the rear, north, face and
containing stables, and 2 dwellings being C19 conversions. Timber
framing has vertical studs and corner braces. South elevation has
gable of west wing at its west end with C17 stone mullioned
windows, and originally 2 tiers of 15 slit vents, some now replaced
with C19 stone mullioned windows. Blocked cart entrance at east
end. An imposing building of considerable group value.
