Schoolroom and cottage converted in early C19 from cottage range,
rubble stone with Bridgwater tile and slate roof, coped gables and
end wall stacks. 3-window range to schoolroom, one to cottage with
upper 2-light cyma-moulded flush mullion windows and leaded lights.
Ground floor door flanked by bay window each side to schoolroom,
door and bay window to cottage. Canted bays with cyma-moulded
windows and slate roofs. Leaded lights. Door in chamfered
doorcase to school and cyma-moulded doorcase to cottage, both in
ashlar coped gabled porches with ball finials and slate roofs. 2
cyma-moulded east end windows. Curved plan front wall, rubble stone
each end, then spearhead iron railings on stone kerb. Central iron
gate. Plaque in church records gift of 3 cottages by R. Burnett (d
1850) for conversion to school.
