Cottage,dated 1723, altered early/mid C20, rubble stone with stone
tiled roof, ridge and north end wall stacks. One storey and attic,
2 room plan. Original ground floor with bead-moulded windows, one
2-light, one 3-light under continuous dripcourse, central doorcase
dated 1723 with hood on brackets. Upper floor originally of two 2-
light windows under thatch roof, replaced by asymmetrical group of
three C20 dormer gables with 2-light, single light and 2-light
windows. Leaded light casements. The village Reading Room from
later C19. Listed for group value.
