House. Early C19. White brick and slate roof with a plain wide
eaves soffit. One end and one rear chimney-stack.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and cellar. 3 window range: 12-pane sashes
in flush cased frames to both storeys with flat gauged arches
and stone sills. A central doorway with a semicircular brick
arch and plain reveals has a wood doorcase and semicircular
fanlight with radiating glazing-bars. C20 half-glazed door.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Below the middle window is a stone plaque commemorating the
residence of Henry Cockton, novelist, author of 'Valentine
Vox', etc. (1807-1853).
