A pair of adjoining houses, designed as one. Early C19.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attics. White brick and slate roof. A
wide brick gable to the front has stone copings and an
acroterion at each end carrying a stone urn. A similar feature
at the apex is missing apart from the base. A stone band at
the base of the gable has a brick dentil cornice which is
carried round the side walls below the eaves. 3 window range,
arranged 1:1:1, with the smaller central window within a large
semicircular arched recess in the brickwork. The 2 outer
windows on each storey are 16-pane sashes in plain reveals
with flat gauged arches and projecting stone sills. The
central window is a 12-pane sash with a segmental-arched head.
The 2 paired central 6-panel doors, each up 2 steps, have wood
doorcases with eared architraves and a continuous cornice
supported by console brackets.
