Lychgate, c1890, possibly by C.E.Ponting, timber on ashlar base
with stone slate half-hipped roof, lead gable finials, that to
north with wrought iron cross. Highly ornamented Arts and Crafts
Gothic, the entrance arches cinquefoil cusped with winged cherub-
heads in cusps, 3-bay interior with arches to collar trusses
carried on bobbin-turned columns. Three 2-light side openings with
traceried heads and bobbin-turned piers and vine-scroll carving
above. Matching pair of gates to north with finely detailed
carpentry and ironwork.
