Pair of cottages, c1845, probably by J. Thomson, for J. Neeld of Grittleton. Squared rubble stone with stone slate eaves roof and centre ridge stack. Two storeys, two-window range with unmoulded two-light mullion windows above and canted ashlar bays with stone slate roofs and very small-paned lights below. End wall stone-slate roofed gabled porches on rubble stone piers with swollen ashlar caps and responds. Single light above.
Not illustrated in J. Thomson's 1845 designs for Alderton but pair of cottages are
marked on village plan.
