13/114 The Old Police House
GV II
Former police station, now house, remodelled 1889 from pair of
early to mid C18 houses. Rubble stone with stone slate roof, two
storeys, casement windows in cambered-head brick surrounds. Two
sections, larger range to left has coped gables, end stacks and 3-
window range, casement pairs above, triple casements below and
centre door. Slightly lower 2-window range to right has triple
casement and door below, first floor casement pair with date plaque
TB 1734 / 1889 to right. Main range has moulded Tudor arched stone
fireplace of C17 type at north end. Included for group value.
