7/59 Barn at West Foscote Farm and
range of stalls attached

GV II

Barn, c1850 for Joseph Neeld of Grittleton, squared rubble stone
with stone slate half-hipped roof and lean-to east side stalls each
side of gabled cart-entry. West side entry with timber lintel and
relieving arch. Vent loops and upper loading doors each side.
South end eight tiers of dove holes in triangular pattern.
Interior not inspected. Similar to barns at Sevington and West
Sevington Farms (q.v.). Between barn and West Foscote House (q.v.)
is three-sided courtyard of open-fronted former stalls with
circular piers and stone slate roofs, the ownership now divided
between West Foscote House and West Foscote Farm.
