House, C17, rubble stone with stone tiled roof and centre ridge
stack. Two storeys, 4-window range with 4 small coped gables and
parapets between, apparently raised. Four upper 2-light recessed
ovolo-moulded 2-light windows with hoodmoulds and small-paned
casements. Ground floor, from left, shop front with half-glazed
door and 20-pane shop window on ashlar base, 6-panel door in
chamfered surround with renewed hoodmould, early C19 4-12-4-pane
tripartite sash and half glazed door in unmoulded surround. Long
gabled rear wing behind No 78, gabled rear wing to No 78A. Heavy
chamfered beam in north end wall of shop.
