House, c1820, possibly on earlier core, ashlar-fronted with slate
roof, coped gables and end stacks. Two storeys and attic. Formal
three-window south front, slightly asymmetrical, with large 20-pane
sash windows and centre 6-panel door with traceried fanlight.
Three small raking dormers. Rusticated quoins, raised strings over
each floor, raised window surrounds and wedge lintels running flush
into string courses. Door surround raised with moulded imposts and
hood on consoles. Moulded cornice and parapet, broken forward over
quoins. Parallel lower rear range and ashlar rear wing parallel to
road with early to mid C19 detail, ground floor paired small sashes
with hoodmould, and 3-light canted oriel above with raised band and
sill course. Formerly known as Spring Villa.
