Farmhouse, now detached house. Probably late C16, main range late
C17. Rubble stone, tiled roof, stone stacks. L-plan. Two-storey
and attic, 3-window. Central C20 door in moulded surround, 3-light
ovolo-mullioned casement either side. Continuous lintel string
course carried up over door. First floor has central 2-light
mullioned casement with flanking 3-light mullioned casements with
hoodmoulds. Two full attic gables with 2-light ovolo-mullioned
casements with hoodmoulds. Gabled 2-storey wing projecting to
left, possibly C16, has C20 casements and half-glazed door. Rear
has C20 porch to right, with small pointed chamfered light within,
three 2-light mullioned casements with hoodmoulds to ground floor,
first floor has four 2-light mullioned casements.
Interior has deep chamfered beams with exposed joists in wing.
Main range has large open fireplace with moulded Tudor-arched stone
surround, chamfered beams with stepped stops in former kitchen to
left of entrance. Room to right of entrance has bolection-moulded
fireplace and moulded beam; former parlour. Good stairs with
continuous newel and winders, moulded plank and muntin partition
enclosing stairs up to attic from ground floor. Good planked
doors, including one with moulded ribs in wing. Five-bay roof over
main range: collar and tie-beam trusses with two tiers of purlins.
