Cottage built onto former monastic wall. Possibly C16, altered
C18 and extended late C19 and 1930s. Rubble stone, or painted
English garden wall bond brick, stone slate roofs with half-hips,
brick or stone stacks. T-plan. Two-storey, 5-window west front
facing gardens. Half-glazed C20 door, 2 and 3-light segmental-
headed casements either side. First floor has five 2-light
casements; the two left hand bays are additions c1930. Rear
incorporated into walls of former Priory of Bonshommes (q.v.),
rubble stone, C19 two-light mullioned casements to first floor of
main range. C19 rear wing has 2-light mullioned casements to
north side, 3-light mullioned and transomed window to first floor
of south side, C20 door in recessed porch below, blocked window on
east side. Interior has deeply chamfered beams with plain stops,
first floor retains 8-panelled wainscot door. During late C19 the
house was a tea-room.
