C16 timber framed house with C18 facade. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Tiled roof
half hipped at right, has small central gable. Tile hung 1st floor with modern
casements. Projecting roughcast public house front on ground floor. Rear extensions
of C18 appearance show galletted random rubble masonry with red brick dressings.
Exposed timbers inside.

Applewell, The Buck's Head Inn, Nos 1 & 2 (Pond Cottages) and Nos 1 & 2
(old School House Cottages) form a group.
